Ten Fifteen Productions - Season 2024 - Growing Pains
These past two years have been an incredible time of growth for The Ten Fifteen. Some growth has been challenging and other growth has come more easily - and all of it has been valuable to the future of our organization. As we embark on our third season, to celebrate this point in our history, the 2024 season will feature stories of growth, transformation, overcoming challenges, and achievements. This is not to say we haven’t finished growing, but rather to acknowledge growth as a lifelong journey (as are the pains that sometimes accompany it!) - Danyelle Tinker, Executive Artistic Director

Decked! By Ginna Hoben
On Christmas Eve, Celia’s only child, Kit confesses that she would rather live with her dad and his much younger partner beginning tonight, the couple’s wedding night. Left alone feeling powerless and enraged, Celia turns to alcohol and pills to escape her pain. Then her eccentric sister Louise shows up to help her out of her despair. In a drug-induced state, (is she dead? or just tripping?) Celia wakes up in an alternate dimension where the sisters review her past, present, and potential future. With a nod to the classics, It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol, this all-female seriocomic play explores themes of letting go and moving on.

The Woman In Black
September 27th-October 12th
The Woman in Black by Stephen Mallatratt
The framework of this spine tingler is unusual: a lawyer hires an actor to tutor him in recounting to family and friends a story that has long troubled him concerning events that transpired when he attended the funeral of an elderly recluse. There he caught sight of the woman in black, the mere mention of whom terrifies the locals, for she is a specter who haunts the neighborhood where her illegitimate child was accidentally killed. Anyone who sees her dies! The lawyer has invited some friends to watch as he and the actor recreate the events of that dark and stormy night. A classic of the genre.

Synopsis: Nan has decided to teach her abusive husband Kyle a lesson. With the help of her friend Simon (acting as her emotional -- and actual -- cheerleader) and a stripper named Sweetheart, she tapes Kyle to a chair and forces him to watch as they reenact scenes from their painful past. In the piece de resistance, they plan to cover the room in meat and honey so Kyle will be mauled by a bear. Through this night of emotional trials and ridiculous theatrics, Nan and Kyle are both freed from their past in this smart, dark revenge comedy.
Exit, Pursued by a Bear is presented by arrangement with Playscripts Inc. www.playscripts.com

The Rise and Fall of Little Voice
March 29th-April 13th
The Rise and Fall of Little Voice by Jim Cartwright
Blown fuses, real and metaphorical, punctuate the action with flashes of pent up energy in this acclaimed play. The diminutive heroine often plunges the dilapidated house she shares with her alcoholic mother into darkness by playing her dead father's records at a volume matched only by the soulful power of her vocal impressions. Little Voice has a hidden talent: she can emulate every chanteuse from Judy Garland to Edith Piaf. She hides in her room, crooning and dreaming of love, while her disheveled mother mistakes a seedy agent's interest as affection rather than enthusiasm for the gold mine in her daughter's throat. An engaging fairy tale of despair, love and finally hope as LV finds a voice of her own.

Shooting Star
February 2nd-17th
Shooting Star by Stephen Dietz
Snowed in overnight at a middle-America airport, college lovers Elena Carson and Reed McAllister have an unexpected and life-altering reunion. Elena has stayed true to her hippie-ish, counter-culture path, while Reed has gone predictably corporate and conservative. As the night gives way to laughter, banter, remembrance and alcohol, they revisit a past that holds more surprises than they imagined—and a present that neither of them could have predicted. Filled with laughter and ache, Shooting Star is a bittersweet romantic comedy about the middle days of our lives, and how we got there.
